Basics to Remember
Aperture
The aperture is basically a hole in the lens which lets light into your camera. It's formed by a ring of metal blades called the iris ordiaphragm. As the size of the hole changes, more or less light enters the camera, affecting the exposure of an image.
Higher #: less light
Lower #: more light
Depth of field is the amount of distance between the nearest and farthest objects that appear in acceptably sharp focus in a photograph.
Smaller # = smaller depth of field
Larger # = greater depth of field
Shutter Speed
Slow SS: 1/15-1/60(more blur, more light)
Fast SS: 1/125-1/1000, (freezing motion, less light)
*Slower SS= brighter the photo
ISO
ISO is how quickly your camera will react to the light.
Higher ISO reacts quicker to light, more noise & pixels.
Lower ISO reacts slower to light, less noise & pixels.
How do these concepts interrelate to proper exposure?
